The Miniature Railway

The miniature railway operates every Sunday, weather permitting, from 11am to 4pm, excepting for Christmas -New Year. The track runs for about 1km around the perimeter of the site. On the trip you pass the lake complete with numerous ducks and other water birds, and you view some of the museum machinery around the track.

RIDES ARE JUST $4

The roomy carriages comfortably accommodate adults as well as children.

Most Sundays a diesel or petrol locomotive will haul the train but over Steamfest and on the last Sunday of the month a steam locomotive is regularly used.

Bring a Picnic

The grounds have shady trees a gas fired BBQ and picnic tables ideal for a picnic outing.

After your ride check out the museum exhibits

There is no charge for admission to the grounds and exhibition sheds except for the Steamfest weekend and some special events.
